Sacco Awarded Distinguished Chemist

The NEIC is a local institute of the parent organization, the American Institute of Chemists (AIC).  AIC members in the six New England states form the NEIC.  Formed in 1923, the AIC is a non-profit professional organization with particular emphasis on promoting the relevance of the chemical profession and its practitioners to society.  The AIC national meetings include technical sessions and an awards program for its national award recipients.  It also has the only professional certification program for chemists and chemical engineers.  The official publication of the AIC is The Chemist, an online publication featuring news of the Institute, technical articles on a broad range of topics, and reviews of the latest product and books in the field.
