ChE Student Jake Rabinowitz Named Honorable Mention for NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program

Jake Rabinowitz, ChE’16, was named Honorable Mention for the National Science Foundation’s prestigious Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP). The GRFP recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students pursuing research-based master’s and doctoral degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

While at Northeastern, Jake has performed a variety of research projects in the field of nanoscience. He has a publication and a pending patent based on research into developing flexible and stretchable electronic systems. In addition, he has worked on developing nanoscale electronic systems to improve wireless communication capabilities and employing carbon nanotubes in next generation touch screens.

This upcoming fall, he will begin his pursuit of a PhD in electrical engineering at Columbia University. He will be joining a research group that is currently working to research and invent nanoscale electronic systems to measure biological signals.
