ChE Student Griffin Rapsilber Published in Polymer

Griffin Rapsilber, ChE ’16, spent the summer of 2014 as a research assistant at Universitat Rovira i Virgili in Tarragona, Spain as part of the Chemical Engineering Global Exchange Program. Working in the METEOR group, he assisted with research in the production of selective proton exchange membranes for application in fuel cells. “This time in Spain provided an invaluable addition to my Northeastern education, allowing me to combine my classroom knowledge with a love of travel and exploration”, said Rapsilber of the experience. The research has culminated in a publication in the journal Polymer entitled Liquid Crystalline Polymeric Wires for selective Proton Transport, Part 1: Wires Preparation.
