Minor in Biochemical Engineering

Minor in Biochemical Engineering

Overview

This minor exposes the student to the fundamentals of chemical engineering.  Focus is on the major conservation principles such as the conservation of mass and the conservation of energy, followed by how chemical reactions and processing are governed by these principles.

Innovative Curriculum

Student coursework includes an interdisciplinary biochemical engineering (capstone) design project. Course work from chemistry and biology is combined with chemical engineering courses as related to biochemical engineering.

How to Declare a COE Minor

  • If you are a COE student, please contact your assigned academic advisor to declare a COE Minor.
  • If you are a non-COE student, please submit the College of Engineering Declaration of Minor form.  An academic advisor will be in contact with you within 2 weeks of the form submission.
