AIChE Awards
The Department of Chemical Engineering is extremely proud to announce that the Northeastern University student chapter of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) has recently been selected as an Outstanding Student Chapter for the 2017 – 2018 school year! This award is presented to student chapters of AIChE that demonstrate an “exceptional level of participation, enthusiasm, program quality, professionalism, and involvement in the university and community”.
NU AIChE serves to connect chemical engineering students with Northeastern University faculty and staff, professional engineers, potential employers, NU chemical engineering alumni, and each other. They work to promote excellence and quality-of-life in the chemical engineering department through professional networking events, educational activities, and social events and outings. In addition to their recent success as a chapter, the President of NU AIChE Ms. Alexis Laundry has been selected as a recipient of the 2017 – 2018 Donald F. & Mildred Topp Othmer Scholarship Award. Ms. Laundry is a hard working ChemE student who devotes much of her time and expertise to the NU AIChE Chapter, as well as the national organization.
